Introduction
I once live in Malaysia, and fortunately in an Islamic atmosphere. Six long unforgettable years I should say, as brotherhood was very strong. Four years ago, Malaysia was Malaysia that I love, Malaysia that I don't know where it has gone. How fast this very world turns...
"Makes us look like we are a bit of a backward country. But we are actually not,"
-Alia Zulkifli, a 27-year-old banker.
"We came for the music."
-More from Alia, reffering to the Black Eyed Peas Concert.
I don't know to whom I should say this, perhaps to Alia Zulkifli for her wrong statement. This message suppose to get into her heart to feel, and to her head to think. Not only Alia, I believe every person who have the same thought of, "Makes us look like we are a bit of a backward country."
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
What on earth made you think your country look like a bit backward? For heaven's sake, pray. Is there any possibilities; that your government do this to make itself a bit backward? Think dear people, think! This sort of statements, my dear Alia, is absolutely unbearable. It is the teaching of Islam, that command you to stay away from the place of disbelievers, much more from their party, and even much more from their concerts.
The night where male and female gather and dancing together doesn't make you a bit forward, don't you realize. The night where people get drunk doesn't make a nation a bit forward, in the matter of fact, it make you a bit backward, or perhaps, a lot backward I should say. It is the night, when teenagers stay awake to learn, that makes a nation a bit forward. A country like Saudi Arabia, can you see that Saudi Arabia is a bit backward? Yes in the eyes of the disbelievers. Can't you see the great Mecca and the enlightened Medina?
If you left one thing for the sake of Allah, believe, Allah will reward you a better one. Paradise are waiting for queens. Queens who serve their life in kindness to others, queens who was clean from badness, queens who are proud of their honorable life. I pray for Malaysia, and all country, to be always guided. Amin.
May peace and blessing always be Upon the Last Prophet and his Companions and Family.
